September 2021 Recap + Upcoming October Charity Events
September Success!
Screen Door Open ‘Fore’ Special Olympics
First and foremost, thank you all for your tremendous help in making this years’ Screen Door Open ‘Fore’ Special Olympics a huge success. This was a transition year as we were coming back from the Covid shutdown of 2020. Our financial expectations were rather modest with fewer golfers, sponsors, raffle prizes etc..
However, we are very pleased to announce that the final accounting of our revenues and expenses amazingly shows a net profit of $36,487!!! We will happily be presenting that amount to Special Olympics Michigan very soon. This event ended up being one of our most successful SDO’s ever, despite some of the challenges and limitations we had this year.
Managers, thank you so much for rising to the challenge by providing so many outstanding raffle and auction items. Volunteers, we appreciate all of your hard work during and leading up to the event. You all played an important role in the event’s success – not only financially, but also in creating a welcoming and fun experience for everyone in attendance.
Congratulations and Thank You all!!!
