The Special Olympics Winter Games

More than 40 volunteers spent 2+ days volunteering in cold and snowy conditions at cross country, snow shoe and ice/speed skating supporting more than 900 athletes as they showcased their skills in the competitions.

The Polar Plunge

Another season of Polar Plunge has come and gone and WOW! What an amazing season it has been. 5 Polar Plunges and more than $63,000.00 raised in support of the exceptional athletes of Special Olympics Michigan.

The Reinhart Plunge Team took the top honors at the Big House raising a total of $20,738.00. The Traverse City Plunge Team also claimed top honors with $17,789.00 and Jon Zickert landed in the #1 fundraising spot of all of our teams raising $12,178.00.

Suzanne O'Brien claimed top fundraiser on the REOCF team in Detroit raising $1,710.00 (and braving the night plunge).

Caron Koteles Riha claimed top REOCF team fundraiser at the Oakland County East Plunge raising $2,946.00 and Jordan Waldrip of the Macomb County REOCF team brought in $1,057.00.
