This Community Support is INCREDIBLE!!!
The past few weeks have been challenging, but we are so proud of our team members who have gone above and beyond to support our communities.
We are so happy to add more stories to this post. If you have a support effort that you’d like to share, please email us at goodnews@realestateone.com and we will shout it from the mountain tops!!
Kaitlyn Pangrazzi of Max Broock Birmingham has launched the fuelourfrontlines.com movement.
Kaitlyn has been hard at work to support our local healthcare community. So far Kaitlyn has raised $5000 and also received a $500 donation from Costco (Madison Heights). She is providing warm meals and Fuel Bags for our local health professionals.
Kaitlyn is doing deliveries this weekend to Henry Ford West Bloomfield, DMC Receiving and Sinai Grace and Henry Ford Wyandotte.
She is also collecting thank you cards and cards of encouragement for our medical workers. You can learn how to get involved by visiting www.fuelourfrontlines.com.
Thank you for all of your inspiring efforts, Kaitlyn! We are so proud that you are in our work family!
Jessica Johnson, her mother Kay and her sister Kay, have made over 1000 masks to donate to hospitals, doctor offices and people in need.
We’ve been using the masks made by Jessica and her family to keep our title staff safe as they continue essential business with our “curbside” signings! Thank you, Jessica! Please pass on the gratitude to your mom and sister, too!
Tyler Weston, Ypsilanti office has been creating and supplying/supporting a free, open, walk up food bank for the Ypsilanti community.
Thank you for your creativity and support, Tyler. We even see some vegan products in there!! Thank you for thinking of everyone!
Jim Carey of Reinhart Realtors has been helping the local Ann Arbor Meals on Wheels deliver meals through our Ann Arbor Kiwanis Club. This organization delivers meals everyday (same route) and Jim has supported his community in this way for the past 20 years.
Many of the current member/volunteers are older or have underling health concerns, which has reduced many of the usual volunteers. If you are looking to be a part of a community effort, it’s a great time to join.
Jim shared, “This is actually an act of love that we [give] for our many clients who otherwise may not have a healthy meal available or have a real person to safely visit them and say, ‘It is great to see you!’ Many Meals on Wheels recipients are usually homebound for their varied circumstances, or may not have family nearby.”
**Meals on Wheels are using the safest methods possible to safely prepare, deliver and stay in contact with friends receiving meals. Meals on Wheels volunteers practice the 6+ foot distance suggestion, wear a mask and give meals in clean safe bags, or leave the food in baskets left for volunteers on porches.
